Officer Lucy Dog Park was named after Officer Lucy, a 95-pound hounddog and seven-year veteran of the Bellaire Police Department, who died in 2004. The department's only K-9 officer, Lucy worked many different criminal cases in Bellaire, sometimes partnering with other agencies, including the Texas Rangers, Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
This is a small, neighborhood park located within Lafayette Park.
